Julia’s Poppies Design is our name and creating inspiring, stylish paper goods is our game. As a small boutique studio, we specialize in wedding stationery, and currently offer both bespoken and collection suites. Our original, stylized designs mix the whimsy and the modern.

The muse behind the company is Julia Ostrander, the late grandmother of Jamie Jimenez, our head designer. She lived a full life, loving others, creating and seeing beauty in everything. Her legacy remains a source of great inspiration to our company.

Life is quite the journey and I am loving the ride. I’m an eclectic, passionate, hippie-at-heart who was born to create. Now settled in Atlanta, Georgia I am slowly becoming a southern gal…leaving my northern roots and vagabond-tendencies to the wind.

It is a blessing to be able to use the gifts and talents I have been given each day. My work is inspired by the splendor of creation and the great outdoors, fashion, and rummaging through flea markets. I take a holistic approach in my designs, allowing my inspiration to guide the process. With a degree in Business Marketing from Liberty University, I am self-taught in graphic design. Expressing myself and finding my own voice in the creative world has been an adventure. I am thankful for those that continue to encourage me along the way.

Julia’s Poppies was created out of my love for love. I thoroughly enjoy conceptualizing one-of-a-kind designs for bespoken clients. Even though 90% of my clientele is brides, I take on a limited number of identity clients in need of branding throughout the year. If you’re looking for a logo, WordPress website, or print collateral I may be just your girl!

If I am not in front of the computer, you can find me in the kitchen. I love food… buying it locally at the farmers market, cooking it, and of course, inviting others to enjoy it with me. I organize monthly gatherings with my amazing, chef husband. If you’re in the Atlanta area, check out Homespun ATL.

I also co-founded the company, Yours is the Earth. It’s a line of beautifully illustrated and calligraphed prints, posters, and home goods. The collaboration is created by foodies, for foodies.  Eating seasonally is something we value and a great opportunity to build, encourage, and support community.

And yes, I have a life outside of food… kind of. From time to time your can find me running my little heart out, thrifting amazing finds to alter or repurpose, hanging out with the cutest niece and nephew ever, listening to my favorite podcasts (1234), and blogging…here, here, and here (eek!).

I’d love for you to be a part of the journey, and thanks to social media you can see what I am up to. I always love hearing from like-minded folks, so don’t be shy… let’s be friends!
