Here’s a “lovely” little craft project for Valentine’s Day. I think it would make a cute dessert table backdrop. You could also make multiple strings of hearts and hang as a curtain in a doorway or again as a backdrop. Oh so many options!
MATERIALS = Chenille Pipe Cleaners + String
#1: Fold the pipe cleaner in half.
#2: Cross the ends.
#3: Twists the ends a couple times. You will now have an oval shape.
#4: Slightly bend the pipe cleaner in half again, pushing the top twisted end to the center of oval .
#5: Flatten the pipe cleaner with the palm of your hand and you’ll have a heart.
#6: Make as many hearts as you need for the length you desire.
#7: Lace string between two hearts.
#8: Tie a knot and repeat to connect all the hearts.
The hearts hang better on their side. Note in the pic below where the string is… special thanks to Lindsay for pointing this out to me while I was hanging it.
For your viewing pleasure…here’s a little sweetheart.
I want to hold that little sweetheart.
Did my mother officially comment on my blog for the first time?!?
